SAYAKA PCB Routing Fixtures

SAYAKA offers universal, magnetic and custom-made fixtures for stable PCB positioning, accurate routing and flexible production. The appropriate fixture is selected according to the PCB design, production volume, product variety and required cutting quality.

SAYAKA specialises in fixture design for PCB router applications. Custom fixtures can be manufactured based on the customer’s product drawing or CAD data.

FLEXIBLE STANDARD SOLUTION

Standard Universal Fixture

The Standard Universal Fixture uses adjustable support and holder pins to position different PCB layouts without manufacturing a separate fixture for every product.

Best suited for
High-mix, low-volume production, prototypes and frequent product changes.

The pin positions must be adjusted when changing to a different PCB layout. Some routing dust may remain on the PCB surface depending on the board design and extraction configuration.

PCB POSITIONING

How the Universal Fixture Holds the PCB

The PCB can be supported by placing holder pins around its outer edges or by inserting suitable pins into available holes in the board.

Additional backup pins should be positioned wherever possible to support the PCB during routing and vacuum extraction.

Important
Pin positions must be checked carefully so that they do not contact components mounted on the underside of the PCB.

QUICKER PIN POSITIONING

Magnet Universal Fixture

The Magnet Universal Fixture uses magnetic support pins for easier positioning and reconfiguration when changing between different PCB layouts.

Best suited for
High-mix, low-volume production where easier pin positioning and repeated product changes are important.

This fixture is available from Seika Sangyo GmbH. The required configuration is selected according to the PCB dimensions, component layout and routing area.

Custom Dedicated Fixture

A Custom Dedicated Fixture is designed for one specific PCB product. It supports accurate positioning, repeatable routing and improved dust extraction around the cutting area.

Best suited for
Stable series production, demanding PCB designs and applications requiring the highest routing accuracy.

One dedicated fixture is generally required for each PCB product. SAYAKA can design and manufacture the fixture based on the customer’s product drawing or CAD data.

Board Receiving Fixture with Unloading Tray

The Board Receiving Fixture supports organised handling of separated PCBs after routing. The unloading tray allows multiple separated boards to be removed together.

1. Place the PCB panel on the unloading tray.

2. Set the tray and PCB together in the router machine.

3. Remove the separated boards together with the tray after routing.

4. Use a second tray to prepare the next production cycle while unloading the first.
