Different materials. One common challenge: moisture.
Moisture can affect materials in different ways depending on their composition, packaging, storage duration and intended use. For selected moisture-sensitive materials, controlled low-humidity storage may help reduce moisture uptake and support more consistent storage conditions.
McDry provides an enclosed dry-storage environment for suitable materials requiring protection from uncontrolled ambient humidity.
Dry storage for moisture-sensitive materials
Below are examples of materials that may benefit from controlled low-humidity storage. Suitability should be reviewed individually.
Dry Cabinets for Rubber Seals, Gaskets & Packing Materials
Rubber seals, gaskets and packing materials may require controlled storage conditions depending on the material formulation and intended application.
McDry can provide low-humidity storage for selected rubber and elastomer components where protection from uncontrolled ambient moisture is required.
- Rubber seals
- O-rings
- Gaskets
- Rubber packing materials
- Elastomer components
Dry Cabinets for Technical Films & Polymer Materials
Selected technical films and polymer materials can be sensitive to ambient humidity during storage, processing or R&D activities.
McDry provides controlled dry storage for suitable films, membranes and polymer-based materials before use or between production processes.
- Technical films
- Polymer films
- Membranes
- Specialty films
- R&D samples
Dry Cabinets for Glass & Precision Materials

Dry storage for special materials
Can McDry be used for rubber seals and gaskets?
McDry may be suitable for selected rubber seals, gaskets, O-rings and packing materials where controlled low-humidity storage is required. The appropriate humidity level should be confirmed for the specific material.
Can technical films be stored in a dry cabinet?
Selected technical films, polymer films and membranes may benefit from low-humidity storage depending on the material specification and application.
Can McDry be used for glass or optical materials?
McDry can be considered for selected glass, optical and precision materials where protection from uncontrolled humidity is required.
Can powders or high-value dry ingredients be stored in McDry?
Selected non-flammable dry powders and high-value dry ingredients may be considered for storage after application review. Suitability, hygiene requirements and the required humidity level should be evaluated individually.
Does every material require 1% RH storage?
No. The appropriate humidity level depends on the material, packaging, storage period and intended application.
My material is not listed on this page. Can I still contact you?
Yes. We welcome enquiries about new applications. Please tell us what you need to store, the required humidity level, quantity, package size and storage conditions, and we can discuss whether McDry may be suitable.
